About Hanami
Honest motorcycle gear reviews for women riders
Hi, I’m Hanami.
I’m Hanami, a woman motorcycle rider from Tokyo, Japan. I ride a Honda CBR 250RR, and I started HanamiBike because finding honest motorcycle gear reviews for women riders is genuinely hard — especially for smaller frames like mine (163cm, 45kg).
My current motorcycle gear
- Jackets: Dainese Electra Ladies Motorcycle Leather Jacket, Dainese Tempest 3 D-Dry Ladies Motorcycle Textile Jacket, Komine Mesh Ladies Jacket
- Pants: Pando Moto, Jane Doe, PMJ
- Boots: Dainese, TCX, Seycho
- Gloves: Degner, RS Taichi
- Intercom: Cardo Edge Pack Talk

My favourite roads are mountain touge passes, cross-sea paths (aqua line), and highways.

My Riding Story
I got my mid-size license (中型, under 400cc) in January 2025 and my large bike license (大型, unlimited cc) in March 2026. I currently ride a Honda CBR 250RR around Tokyo — on touge, highway, and city streets across all four seasons.
Why I Started HanamiBike
When I started riding, I spent a lot of time researching women’s motorcycle gear — and almost everything was written from a man’s perspective. One honest review from a fellow women motorcycle rider is worth ten generic articles. As a shorter rider (163cm), I also struggled to find fit information for smaller frames, especially for Japanese brands with limited English coverage.
That’s why I started Hanami Bike — to make it easier to find and compare motorcycle gear for women, with real sizing notes, CE protection ratings, and fit comparisons across Japanese and global brands. I also publish a Women’s Motorcycle Gear Fit Guide for riders who want real reviews before purchase.
Riding in Japan
I ride both touge and roads around Tokyo across all four seasons. Japan has some of the best motorcycle roads in the world — but English resources for foreign riders are still limited.
Many foreign riders in Japan, as well as tourists looking to rent motorcycles, repeatedly ask the same questions and struggle to find reliable English content. I hope to eventually compile a guide to help all riders access the wonderful riding experience Japan has to offer. In the meantime, you can follow my rides and daily moto life here on HanamiBike.
